SM Special Gases are pleased to be working with BOC Gases in supplying zero emissions fuel for London buses.

This pioneering project aims to reduce air pollution and noise using hydrogen and specially built buses with the latest fuel cell and hydrogen technology.

SM Special Gases have manufactured the distribution panels and gas lines to be used to deliver the liquid hydrogen to the fuelling point where it is dispensed as a gas into pressurised cylinders. These are the cylinders you can see on top of the bus, along with the fuel cell system, coolers and other components. The only emission from a fuel cell bus is water!
